Discover and configure automatic updates in iOS 7

Let's continue our little tour of
new iOS 7 features and let's stop by the App Store and more
particularly updates to our beloved applications.

Anyone who has ever had an iPhone in their hand knows how important the red sticker
on certain icons can be annoying. This is the case for me
regarding the App Store.

Anyway, the updates follow one another and we find ourselves
quickly with around twenty applications to update... In short, it's a long time,
painful and sometimes you even have to juggle due to insufficient memory.
Fortunately, Apple decided to take care of my nerves, but also of
yours by adding to iOS 7automatic updateof the
applications.

Let's see how it all works:

Enable or disable option

Enabling or disabling the auto-update option is a game
of child. In fact, all you have to do is go to the phone settings
Search for the “iTunes & App Store” tab. Once in the section, a
switch to enable or disable the option. I told you,
it's quite simple.

Just below, another switch should catch your attention. He
This is the switch labeled “Cellular Data.” If enabled,
the iPhone will be able to download the application update at any time and
using your data plan. Obviously, he will take care not to exceed
the quota of 100 MB per app applied by Apple, but it is better to be
sure to have a sufficient package.

Otherwise or simply to be more peaceful, it is
possible to deactivate this switch. The iPhone will then wait to be
connected to a WiFi network to perform the update(s).

In practice

After some time, I must admit that this option is
particularly pleasant. Instead of downloading the update while you
you are using it, the iPhone will know how to be discreet and will prefer to do
its work when it is on standby. Honestly, most of the time you don't
you won't even realize that updates have been made.

It's great except, for those who like to follow the updates
carefully. Obviously, Apple has thought of everything for them too!

How to stay informed

Everyone will easily understand that I love, and even need
stay up to date with updates happening on my iPhone.

Obviously, it is possible to simply deactivate the option and
play it 'the old-fashioned way', but that would be such a shame.

Otherwise,direction l’application App Storein which
find an “Update” tab. In this one, we find the complete history
of all updates performed on the machine. By scrolling
the screen down, we quickly realize that these updates are classified
in chronological order from most recent to oldest. To report
every day, a small white banner specifies the date. Updates in
waiting are, when there are any, placed at the very top of this list so that
so that the user can see them first. If you don't see anything
wait, there is nothing to update. This is the case
ici !

Another way to keep up to date, notifications.
Go to the “Settings notification center” tab and find
the App Store. Make sure that the App Store is included in the center of
notification. If not, click “Edit” at the top left
of the screen and 'grab' the App Store to take it out of the "Do not
include". Then click on “OK” still at the top left of the screen. Click
then on this App Store section to access the settings of the
alerts.

That should be enough to keep you up to date with everything that's going on.
on your machine without having to lift a finger.

It must be admitted that these automatic updates are particularly
practical and once you have tasted it, it is very difficult to come back
back.
