It serves almost all
days, less to synchronize than to allow charging of the iPhone or
the iPad: it's the lightning cable! Initially proposed by Apple
only, it is now much more widespread and has now taken
many shapes. Long, short, flexible or durable, fabric or other
material, there are all kinds, we have been able to see itwith the
more than 20 models selected for this file.
There remains an important criterion, it is preferable that it be certified by
Apple via the “Made for iPhone” label, or MFi for short.
Today it's a sync cable that looks like anything but
an accessory of this type that we tested. Proposed by Kanex, to whom we owe
the
Apple Watch charger tested here recently. It looks like a carabiner and
can even be used as a bottle opener! Cheers!
We have been able to use it for a few weeks, it is time to do
the results in photos, as usual inour series of tests
of iPhone accessories to see here.
The product once unpacked, we mentioned it but it hits you right from the start.
first contact, in no way resembles a usual cable. Better, it is
difficult to know where the sockets are.
In practice, it is made of plastic, associated with a plate of
metal.
A carabiner is provided, allowing it to be easily transported attached to a
backpack or keys for example.
The metal part actually hides an (almost) essential accessory
for the recharging of modern men (and women) since it is a
bottle opener;-). Rather anecdotal, it could be of service
during summer evenings or as a topic of conversation.
But let's come back to the most important thing: the cable since it is he who
offers the most important function. To make it appear, simply
remove the two ends fitted into the plastic structure. Appear
then the two sockets: male USB on one side and lightning on
the other.
Once released, it's actuallya single 21 cm cableWho
can be used to connect the iPhone or iPad to a computer USB port
or a charger.
The oneslidebut cannot be extracted from the body in
plastic.
The use is then rather classic. In terms of efficiency, no
particular concern to note during testing. The iPhone hasrecharged
with standard intensities on an iPhone charger but also charger plus
powerful iPad.
In terms of compatibility with cases, the grip is larger than the
classic cables on the iPhone side, so this will not work in all cases, but
it remains a very reasonable size.
In the end, a very original cable in its presentation
and its use, which can find a use and above all storage
practical for those who travel often, especially with a battery of
poached. MFi certified, this could also make a nice gift for a fan
