What's new for Apple Maps with iOS 13?

Apple has revealed a lot of new features to come, with the next version iOS 13 at the start of the 2019 school year. We have already covered manyfeatures of iOS 13 in our columns, and today we are going to focus on the Plans app.

Apple's mapping app, which had a rocky start, is improving with each version of iOS. iOS 13 also brings its share of improvements to Maps, withmore detailed maps, andmode street View, and some other new features.

With iOS 13, Plans gains abetter coverage of the road network, detailed pedestrian data, more precise addresses and improved terrain mapping.

Like Google Maps, Plans now also integratesa Street View modewhich allows you to stroll the streets of a foreign city, withphotos 3Din high definition.

When this street view mode is available for a location, the user can seea button with binocularsappear on the screen. Pressing this button launches the Street View.

The new maps and street view mode of Maps are currently only available for certain cities and states and will be rolled out across the United States by the end of 2019, then inother countries in 2020.

We hope that France will be one of these other countries next year, after all Apple cars have beenseen in certain French cities.

Finally Plans has a new feature calledCollections, which allows you to group togetherfavorite places in lists, to then share them with your friends.
