We all know it,
using a phone while driving is extremely dangerous, that's why
that it is forbidden. So for those who are often in the car, it is possible to cut
any request from our favorite smartphone thanks to the new “Do not
do not disturb in auto” brought by iOS 11. The other solution is
to use a bluetooth audio hands-free kit, which will allow you to make calls and
to listen to a conversation without having to hold anything. The cars
are increasingly equipped, but for those who do not have them, it
There are dedicated accessories. This is the case of the model offered in the range
Aukey:

Designed to be attached to the sun visor, rechargeable using the charger
life lighter provided, it also has the ability to be linked wirelessly to
two smartphones, not just one as is often the case. Here is this accessory
in photos and details, as well as our opinion
Discovery
The wireless charger is delivered well protected in cardboard packaging,
all made of plastic, it comes in a thin and elongated form, with
several buttons.
On the front, a main button allows you to take a call, it is easily identifiable
easily by its phone-shaped logo and its large size.
Sound holes fitted at the speaker level.
On the side, we find the start-up but also adjustment buttons.
volume
On the bottom, a metal clip is provided to be able to hang it on the
sun visor. This can be easily removed for anyone who wants to install the kit
hands-free rather than hanging it.
It comes with a micro-USB charging cable as well as a charger
cigarette lighter.
Utilisation
Installation on a sun visor, optional, proves very practical and
easy. The metal page plays its role perfectly, it holds firmly
the whole, which is therefore found above the driver's head. A place
ideal both for the microphone that picks up the words and within earshot for
don't miss anything of the conversation broadcast over the loudspeaker.
Pairing the hands-free kit is done like any audio accessory
bluetooth. When starting up for the first time, the “telephone” button
flashes alternately blue/red, it is detectable under the name Aukey BP-P2.
Then, recognition from the phone is almost immediate when
getting started. When the kit is connected to the smartphone and on the road, it
displays a small blue flash every 3 seconds at the symbol
" phone ".
Special feature to note, it is possible to pair this kit with two
different smartphones. It is alternative, that is to say that only one is connected
at a time “t”, but if he is not there or his BT is turned off,
then it is the other who has the connection. This allows you to manage a professional phone
and personal or even that of Mr. and Mrs.
Once pairing is complete, use is simple, when a call
arrives, a press on the large button, easily accessible under the finger itself
without looking, allows you to take up the conversation. Then just talk
and we are heard, while taking advantage of the interlocutor via the
speaker.
During the tests, the sound appeared to be of good quality, as did the microphone,
confirmed by our interlocutors. We regret one thing, the volume adjustment
sound is done by two small side buttons, you have to remember which one
turn the sound up or down, because there's no question of taking a look at the side to
know which one is pressed. Large buttons on the front would have
been preferable.
In terms of use, the device, which has a 500 mAh battery, is
announced as allowing a sleep mode for 10 days (!) and a
conversation (or several rather 😉) from 10 a.m. We could not verify these
durations, but autonomy seems good. However …. There is nothing in our
knowledge of how to know the remaining battery level,
Shame ! Fortunately, recharging is done automatically using the charger
cigar lighter provided (or any other that could already be used for its
iPhone for example.
Conclusion
In the end, here is an accessory offered at a very reasonable price, which
what it is intended for. The attachment to the sun visor is good, the sound
both for the microphone and speaker part prove sufficient to hold
good conversations, all without dangerous handling. The only regrets are the
volume buttons that are difficult to access and the lack of a volume level indicator
charge.
