No, 3D Touch is not dead with iOS 13

At the end of May, we talked aboutan analyst reportof Barclays claiming that 3D Touch would be replaced by Haptic Touch on all future iPhones. Haptic Touch actually consists of force feedback after a prolonged press.

Thenchanges to iOS 13suggested that 3D Touch support would be dropped with the next major version of iOS. But it appears that3D Touch will continue to be supported on iOS 13.

3D Touch does not work in the first beta of iOS 13. And the extension of haptic feedback in this version of iOS suggested that iOS 13 would abandon support for 3D Touch.

A user sent an email about this to Craig Federighi, Apple's vice president and head of software. He gota positive response on the fate of 3D Touch.

I emailed Craig Frederighi about the 3D Touch getting removed from iOS 13 Beta 1, looks like it’s actually a bug. Not removed.pic.twitter.com/PwwZsK42Og

Indeed, Craig Federighi claims that 3D Touch not working in iOS 13 is actually a bug. Therenext beta should fix this problem.

However, this does not mean that the next iPhone models will have 3D Touch. But 3D Touch fans rest assured. Their machines will not lose this function with iOS 13.
