Beta iOS 12.1.1: return of Live Photo in FaceTime and better interface

With iOS 12, many users noticed that Apple had removed the ability to take a Live photo during a FaceTime call. This can be particularly annoying, for example if a father wants to be able to take a Live photo of his child's first steps.

It seems that it has heard the messages of its users, since this functionjust got back into FaceTimewith thebeta d’iOS 12.1.1. Apple also took advantage of this toimprove user interfacefrom FaceTime.

Currently in the beta of iOS 12.1.1 which has been available for a few days, there is nowa capture buttonin FaceTime. This allows you to take a Live Photo during a FaceTime video call.

Apple has also revised the FaceTime interface, so that the buttons“mute” and “turn camera” are directly accessible. Previously it was necessary to go through a submenu.

Sliding the interface upwards provides access to additional controls, such as the ability to mute the camera and speakers.
