After 3 test versions released in recent weeks, Apple has just released a corrective version, but not only for its mobile OS.
The versioniOS 12.1.1is available for wireless downloading foriPhone et iPad, with tvOS 12.1.1 for Apple TV.
In terms of improvements, we note a modified interface for FaceTime calls with thereturn of Live Photo. We can also mention the possibility of using theiPhone XR haptic touch on notifications. But that's not all
FaceTime regulars frustrated by having to tap on too many screens to switch from the front to the rear camera during calls will be happy to know that we're finally getting easier access than was the case before. iOS 12.
We also note in the release notes this mention which gives hope for the arrival of dual-SIM support in the iPhone XS, XS Max and XR. It is in fact “available for new operators”
Here's precisely what Apple says in the patch notes:
Improvements:
- Previewing haptic touch notifications on iPhone XR.
- Dual SIM with eSIM available for new carriers on iPhone XR, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max.
- Switch between the rear and front camera with a single tap during a FaceTime call.
- Taking Live Photos during one-on-one FaceTime calls.
- Availability of RTT (real-time text) mode when using Wi-Fi Calling on iPad and iPod touch.
- Improved stability for dictation and VoiceOver.
As for fixes, this version:
- Fixes an issue that could cause the Face ID feature to be temporarily unavailable.
- Fixes an issue that prevented Visual Voicemail from downloading for some customers.
- Fixes an issue in Messages that could prevent predictions from displaying when typing on Chinese or Japanese keyboards.
- Fixes an issue that could prevent Dictaphone recordings from being uploaded to iCloud.
- Fixes an issue that could prevent time zones from automatically updating.
